It can be quite a normal process to procrastinate. It can mean that we are taking time to evaluate the importance of a task and how we might go about completing it.
Sometimes though, the procrastination can be excessive, actually stopping us from normal functioning and often leading to other problems such as anxiety, stress, guilt and a loss of productivity and disapproval for not meeting our commitments.
For whatever reason you are procrastinating – maybe you are not sure on how or what the first steps are, some part of you may think that there will be a level of discomfort or unease by doing let alone completing the task – you will likely feel frustrated and angry with yourself but you know that you cannot continue to avoid the behaviour and the likely consequences.
